Recently, a group of phenomenal, Millennials have gotten together to send a positive message with their Run the World Campaign--the message being that, the sky is the limit for driven, ambitious young women and girls; these ladies are active members of She’s the First (www.shesthefirst.org), the nonprofit organization that supports leadership in the US and sponsors girls’ education in the developing world. She’s the First has began the Run the World campaign to promote fitness, while advancing their cause to educate girls’ in developing countries.

Through this fitness campaign, She’s the First has provided a little extra motivation for you to partake in the campaign by partnering with Charity Miles, an app that provides you with an incentive to workout, allowing you to raise money for your favorite charities by walking, running, or biking.  The app tracks the distance and money earned; donating 10 cents for each mile that bikers complete, while walkers and runners earn 25 cents. Not to mention the App is totally free and user friendly.

In this year alone, STF has raised $32,319 through hosting and/or partaking in organized fitness events.  All She’s the First proceeds made via Charity Miles will sponsor a girl’s education at She’s the First’s partner schools. With their awesome, new partnership with the Charity Miles App, they will now be able to raise more money resulting in more girls furthering their education; and the best part is no matter where you’re geographically located, you can help them too!  Not to mention, Charity Miles has provided the campaign participants with an incentive to keep pushing through those tough workouts--knowing that each step you take counts towards a cause is hands down a wonderful feeling, whether you’re walking through the mall or running a marathon, making a donation has never been this easy.

So we’re encouraging everyone to put their ex
cuses down and pick their legs up off the ground for a great cause! For more information or to make a direct donation for the Run the World Campaign, check out the website here
