February is chalk full of hearts and flowers...

Does anyone else dread Valentine's Day? Doesn't it seem a little generic that there needs to be a holiday where you shower someone with gifts and tell them how much you love them? If you're in love, shouldn't they know it already? Why do you need a holiday to give you the gall to say so? So many questions, I know.

But honestly. If someone needs a holiday to guilt trip them into paying attention to you, is that the kind of relationship you want to be in? Well, I know most people don't feel neglected the other 364 days of the year but just in case you're one of the few that do. Red flag number one.

Personally I think Valentine's Day is a great way to have a good time with your single friends. Try and throw a party with some close friends and a few of their unknown singles to make things interesting. Who knows, you may end up with a dinner date after all. If you're not quite ready to mingle then you can always shoot for option two: horror movie night then go out for a bloody steak and cherry mojitos. Slasher movies always make me feel all warm and fuzzy around this time of year.

February is also home of the new giveaway from Uniquebeadingbyme. I absolutely love love love the designer, Adriana's, jewelry. Each piece is hand crafted and one of a kind. She is partnering with 'Ello Honey Bee this month and giving away a $50 gift certificate to one of my lucky readers.

As for V-Day, I'm not much of a fan, either, but if you're single (like me) people assume you're just bitter and lonely lol

Even when I was boo'd up, though, it wasn't a big deal to me. I'm not much of a holiday person anyway, and I especially couldn't care less about the ones that require you to spend insane amounts of money o_0
